CAIRO 2004
INTERNATIONAL FREE ZONE CONFERENCE
MONDAY & TUESDAY 26th & 27th APRIL 2004
Grand Hyatt Hotel
plus optional Training Course, Workshop & visits 28th to 30th April 2004
Mr. Graham Mather and Dr. Mohamed El Ghamrawy are pleased to invite you to CAIRO 2004, a special International Free Zone Conference to be hosted by the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) and inaugurated by H.E. the Prime Minister of Egypt, Dr. Atef Ebeid.
Free Zones are once again hitting the headlines as more companies are choosing to relocate existing and create new manufacturing, processing, distribution and service activities in Special Economic Zones - Industrial Development Zones - Export Processing Zones.
The benefits of a well implemented Zone are numerous and include regional development, promotion of industrial outsourcing, job creation, transport cost savings and increase in export competitiveness. The benefits for potential investors are also evident - customs procedure simplification, fiscal and financial incentives, subsidised infrastructure etc.
This International Conference has been convened to give delegates from throughout the world a clearer understanding of this dynamic growth sector. Egypt, which reported a record balance of payment surplus in 2003, has a positive public and private Free Zone policy and is ideally placed to host this special conference.
